Abstract Submission

ABSTRACT NOTIFICATIONS WILL BE SENT BY MARCH 10, 2009

LATE abstract submission is open. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE ONLINE SUBMISSION SYSTEM.

All accepted abstracts will be included in the Syllabus book and published in the ISLH Journal.

ISLH is delighted to announce that thanks to the generosity of its corporate advisory council (CAC) members, we will be making travel awards for the best submitted abstracts/posters in the following four laboratory hematology categories:
 
Young Investigator Award
Cellular Analysis
Hemostasis
Flow Cytometry
 
If you wish to be proposed for an award please ensure you check the appropriate award box. Selection of award winners will be by an independent committee chaired by the Abstract/Poster Chairmen. Award winners will be notified within one month of the close of Abstracts i.e. before March 15th.


SUBMISSION DATE:

The deadline for submission of abstracts is February 17th, 2009. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Notice of acceptance will be given by March 10th, 2009. Authors selected to give an oral presentation also will be notified by March 10th, 2009.


REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT:

Authors selected for Poster and/or Oral presentations will be required to register for and to attend ISLH 2009. If you are selected for Poster and/or Oral presentation and are UNABLE to attend ISLH 2009, you should notify either Poster Chairman prior to March 15th, 2009 at A.Huisman@umcutrecht.nl or willy.goossens@uz.kuleuven.ac.be.


ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:

Abstracts submitted after February 17th, 2009 will not be considered for Oral Presentation and may not be included in the Syllabus Book. The abstract should be limited to 500 words and should include the following:
•    Title
•    Author name(s)
•    Author affiliation(s)
•    Author email(s) 
•    Brief Introduction and Methods
•    Results and Conclusions

Please select whether you would like your abstract considered for Poster +Oral Presentation OR Poster Presentation Only.

Abstracts are being accepted for the following categories:

•  Cellular Analysis
•  Flow Cytometry
•  Haemoglobinopathies
•  Haemostasis
•  Molecular Diagnostics
•  Morphology
•  Platelets
•  Point-of-Care Testing
•  Standards and Quality Assurance
•  Thrombosis


ORAL PRESENTATION:
Abstract submissions will be evaluated by the Program Committee for a 15 minute Oral Presentation (12 minutes for Presentation + 3 minutes for questions). Abstracts will be judged on the following three categories:
•    Scientific Content
•    Originality
•    Applicability to the theme of Technological Innovations in Laboratory Hematology

If you do not wish to have your abstract considered for Oral Presentation, please indicate “Poster Presentation Only” when submitting your abstract. If your abstract is selected for Oral Presentation, you will NOT need to prepare a poster for display.
